Distribution
Cette espèce est endémique de la division administrative de Province nord en Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée. Elle n'est connue que dans les environs du mont Bellamy, entre 2 080 et 2 270 m d'altitude.
Étymologie
Son nom d'espèce lui a été donné en référence à Andrew E. Sabin pour l'intérêt et l'aide qu'il a apportés aux recherches herpétologiques.
