American Mineralogist (abrégé en Am. Mineral.) est une revue scientifique à comité de lecture créée en 1916, qui publie des articles de recherches dans les domaines de la minéralogie, de la pétrologie, de la cristallographie et de la géochimie[1].
D'après le Journal Citation Reports, le facteur d'impact de ce journal était de 1,859 en 2009. Actuellement, les directeurs de publication sont Jennifer A. Thomson (Eastern Washington University (en), Cheney, Washington), Dana T. Griffen (Laboratoire national Lawrence Berkeley, Californie) et Bryan C. Chakoumakos (Conseil national de recherches Canada, Ontario)[2].
