WYSIWYM, acronyme utilisé en informatique qui vient de l’anglais « What you see is what you mean », signifiant « Ce que vous voyez est ce que vous voulez dire », par opposition au WYSIWYG : What you see is what you get.
Le principe est pour un logiciel, de représenter les informations en fonction de leur sens, de l’information à véhiculer (par opposition à « représenter les informations sous leur forme finale, pour impression, avec mise en forme à l’identique… »). Un des objectifs des interfaces WYSIWYM est de permettre une meilleure séparation du fond et de la forme lors de la création de documents. Lyx est un parfait exemple d'une interface WYSIWYM.
