B'Twin Cycle
b'Twin Cycle est une marque de vélo créée par le groupe Décathlon, devenu Oxylane Group. Elle a été lancée en 2006 comme nouvelle dénomination de Decathlon Cycle.
Chiffres-clés
Les premiers magasins Décathlon comportaient déjà une division Cycle. En 1986, ils lancent leur propre marque. Trente ans plus tard, Décathlon Cycle devient b’Twin. Chiffres-clés[1] :
- 1ère marque de vélos en quantités vendues en France (depuis quand ?),
- 12 : le nombre de "collaborateurs" (selon la terminologie maison) de la marque en 1993,
- 250 : le nombre de "collaborateurs" qui intégreront le b’Twin village en 2010 (?!),
- 420 points de vente dans 13 pays dans le monde,
- 89% des vélos b'Twin seraient aujourd'hui assemblés en Europe (à préciser),
- provenance des pièces et composants ?
Historique
Historique[2] :
- 1986 : 1ers vélos commercialisés sous la marque Decathlon (fabriqués par qui ?);
- 1999 : création du b’Twin 5, avec le slogan « aussi à l’aise partout que partout » ;
- 2005 : création du Cuissard Supportiv, innovation en termes de maintien[réf. nécessaire] ;
- 2006 : Decathlon Cycle devient b’Twin ;
- 2007 : B’Twin Champion de France (Christophe Moreau sur le FC700) ;
- 2007 : décision de la création du «b’Twin Village», sur un site de 184 000 m2, à Lille, 100% dédié au vélo (?!);
- 2009 : lancement du b’Twin Club, site communautaire (!) de la marque, qui accompagne les cyclistes dans leur pratique *(conseils, recherche de partenaires, itinéraires, etc...) ;
- 2010 : ouverture du premier b’Twin Village (qu'est-ce que c'est ?).
