Son altesse impériale Princess (Shahdokht) Ashraf ul-Mulk (SAI princesse Ashraf Pahlavi) née le 26 octobre 1919 à Téhéran est la sœur jumelle de Mohammad Reza Pahlavi, le dernier Shah de la dynastie Pahlavi d'Iran.
En 1953, Ashraf Pahlavi a joué un rôle important dans l'opération Ajax, puisqu'elle était celle qui devait convaincre Mohammad Reza Shah de donner son consentement à la CIA et au SIS de commencer l'opération. Le Shah s'était à l'origine opposé à l'opération pendant un moment, avant d'accepter.
Elle a tenu les fonctions suivantes :
- Présidente honoraire de l'organisation du Lion et du soleil rouge, 1944
- Présidente de l'Organisation des femmes iraniennes, 1967 - 1979
- Haute commission aux droits de l'homme des Nations unies, 1970
- Membre du comité consultatif de la conférence internationale de la femme, 1975
Elle s'est mariée trois fois et a eu trois enfants : Shahram Pahlavi, Shahriar Shafiq et Azadeh Shafiq.
