Le Proguanil est une molécule antipaludéenne. Il s'agit d'une prodrogue qui sera métabolisée par un cytochrome p450 pour donner une molécule active, la dihydrotriazine. Cette molécule agit comme inhibiteur de la dihydrofolate réductase (DHFR) du parasite.
