Potton est une municipalité de canton du Québec située dans la MRC de Memphrémagog en Estrie[1].
« Le canton de Potton, proclamé en 1797, et la municipalité de canton homonyme érigée en 1845 tirent leur appellation d'une ville d'Angleterre située dans le Bedfordshire, près du village de Sutton »[2].
Elle est plus connue sous le nom de Mansonville, ancienne municipalité incorporée à la municipalité de canton de Potton[3].
Potton est traversée par la route 243.
Le recensement de 2006 y dénombre 1 790 habitants[4]
