Biographie

De naissance Michael A. James. Il a brièvement travailler comme stagiaire comptable dans les bureaux dans la National Coad Board, avant d'obtenir une bourse d'étude pour la Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Michael Jayston commence sa carrière au théâtre à 27 ans en 1962, dans The Amorous Prawn, il a joué pour Le répertoire de Salisbury, Bristol Old Vic et Royal Shakespeare Company, il connaîtra le succès comme comédien de théâtre. Il a aussi commencé sa carrière au cinéma en 1962, dans la série "Suspense". Il a joué dans plusieurs films et séries tels que Cromwell (1970) dans le rôle de Henry Ireton, Nicolas et Alexandra (1971) dans le rôle du tsar Nicolas II, Highlander III (1994) dans le rôle de Jack Donovan, et dans la saison 2 de Ash et Scribbs (2005) dans le rôle de Bradley.
