Method Man & Redman est un duo de hip-hop composé de Method Man et Redman. L'un vient de Long Island et l'autre du New Jersey. Le duo se fait connaître dans le milieu du rap grâce à leur premier album, Blackout !, qui contient deux singles: Da Rockwiler et Big Dogs.

Carrière

La carrière en duo a commencé, en 1996, avec Got my mind made up en collaboration avec 2 Pac dans l'album "All Eyes On Me".

Trois ans après, leur album Blackout ! rencontre un énorme succès avec LL Cool J, Busta Rhymes, Ja Rule et le Wu Tang Clan. En 2000, ils collaboreront avec D'Angelo sur Voodoo, puis avec Limp Bizkit sur Chocolate Starfish And The Hotdod Flavored Water et avec Cypress Hill sur Stoned Raiders. 2002 est marqué par la sortie du second album How High avec Cypress Hill, Limp Bizkit, Ludacris, DMX, Shawnna et Mary J Blige.

En 2009, 10 ans après la sortie du premier Blackout, Method man & redman sortent Blackout 2, produit par Erick Sermon, Rockwilder, Pete Rock, Buckwild, DJ Scratch, Havoc, Mathematics, Nasty Kutt, Ty Fyffe, Bink, l'album reçoit aussi le soutien de nombreux invités comme Bun B, Keith Murray, Raekwon, Ghostface Killah, Streetlife.

Les trois premiers singles furent A Yo, Mrs international et City lights, les deux premiers singles sont mis en clip.

L'album connu un succès indégnable puisqu'il se plaça directement en septieme position des charts Us.
