Un magazine est une publication périodique, le plus souvent illustrée, de pagination variable, traitant de sujets généralistes ou parfois spécialisés. Il se distingue de la revue, qui se limite à un domaine précis (littéraire, scientifique, etc.) et du fanzine, qui est réalisé par et pour des passionnés sans recherche de profit.

Un City magazine est un type de magazine au format réduit.
Le terme magazine est aussi utilisé dans le milieu de la télévision pour désigner des émissions proposant des reportages et, éventuellement, des interviews d'invités en plateau.
