Leadville
Leadville est un petite ville des États-Unis située près de Denver, dans l'état du Colorado.
Elle rappelle le Far West à l'époque de la ruée vers l'or, lorsque les Guggenheim amassèrent des fortunes.
La capitale comprend une bonne cinquantaine de bâtiments remarquables datant de l'époque victorienne (de 1880 à 1905). Vous y trouverez également de charmantes petites boutiques, d'excellents restaurants et des musées intéressants. Le Tabor Opera House et le Tabor Grand Hotel (rénové tout récemment) valent vraiment le détour.
Leadville est l'une des dernières anciennes villes minières des États-Unis. Flanqués d'une multitude de vieilles mines et de bâtiments authentiques datant de la ruée vers l'or, les abords de la ville ont des allures de quartier fantôme. Le tout, dans un somptueux décor de montagnes, de rivières sauvages et de lacs paisibles.
