Le Cotinga à tête rousse (Ampelion rufaxilla) est une espèce très rare de la famille des Cotingidae présente en Bolivie, Colombie, Équateur et Pérou.
L'espèce vit dans les forêts tropicales et subtropicales humides de montagne.
