Amherstburg (Ontario)
Amherstburg est une ville dans le comté d'Essex de la province canadienne d'Ontario. Elle est située près de l'embouchure de la rivière Détroit. Sa population est de 21 748 habitants.
Un fort militaire britannique a été établi à l'emplacement de la ville en 1796, et une ville civile s'est développée autour de lui. Pendant l'époque du Chemin de fer clandestin, Amherstburg était souvent le point d'arrivée au Canada pour les esclaves afro-américains.
