Le Joint Unmanned Combat Air Systems (J-UCAS), ou système commun de combat aérien, est le nom donné au projet commun de drone développé par l'U.S. Navy et de l'U.S. Air Force. Les deux véhicules du projet sont le Boeing X-45 et le Northrop Grumman X-47. Le J-UCAS est sous la responsabilité de l'agence de défense DARPA. En 2005, il a été décidé de restructurer le programme dans le but de développer un appareil inhabité de plus longue portée, basée sur porte-avions et ayant la capacité d'être ravitaillé en vol. Le but étant de fournir de plus grandes capacités d'emport, de meilleures options de lancement et d'augmenter la présence navale.
