Aerolíneas Mesoamericanas, S.A. de C.V., qui opère sous l'acronyme d’Alma de Mexico, est une compagnie aérienne à bas coûts (code AITA C4), basée à Guadalajara au Mexique[1]. Elle dessert 18 destinations intérieures.

Historique
La compagnie a été créée par un ancien directeur d'Aeromexico, Guillermo Heredia, et obtint son certificat de transporteur aérien en septembre 2005[1]. Le 12 juin 2006, Alma a débuté ses opérations avec son premier vol de Guadalajara vers Puebla.
It has already signed lease agreements with GE Commercial Aviation Services (GECAS) for Bombardier CRJ-200 aircraft. The other routes provided by ALMA will consist of many flight that may initiate from its hub at Guadalajara to Puebla, La Paz, Chihuahua, Ciudad Juarez, Los Mochis, Tijuana, Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, Obregon, Torreon, Monterrey, Querétaro, Veracruz, Villahermosa, Tampico and Reynosa. Also by June the 15th, the carrier will add flights to Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Merida and Cancún.[citation nécessaire]By March 2 2007, ALMA has obtained one of the most important security and safety certification known as (IOSA) from IATA. This verifies totally what is ALMA’s operational and maintenance procedures of the fleet. Being the first Mexican airline, that in less than a year of the start of its operation. It has obtained such distinguished title and with zero observations.
ALMA has successfully combined air travel with bus services in what they call a Multimodal service. This service is offered from:
- Any flight coming to La Paz and its final destination is: San Jose del Cabo or Cabo San Lucas
- Any flight coming to Tijuana and with final destination to Ensenada or Mexicali
- Any flight coming to Puebla with a final short trip to its center (4 Poniente) and vise versa. In this last case, there’s no extra charge. With the same price you pay for your flight you can use this service.
On the June 21 2006, ALMA started operating through their online portal www.alma.com.mx. Customers are able to enjoy booking through their online reservation system as well as other sales channels like its: Call Center (1 888 811 ALMA from the US / 01 800 800 ALMA in Mexico), Global Distribution Systems GDS (Sabre, WorldSpan and Amadeus) and Travel Agencies. ALMA offers competitive prices for its destinations, around the same price level as other low cost airlines. It expects to expand its fleet to 21 aircraft within the end of this 2007.[citation nécessaire] ALMA is considered one the fastest growing regional airlines in Mexico.
