Mohammad Ibn Abd-al-Haq Ibn Sab’in
Mohammad Ibn Abd-al-Haq Ibn Sab’in (محمدبن عبدالحق بن سبعين), né à Murcie en Espagne en 1216 ou 1217 et mort à La Mecque en 1269 ou 1271, est l'un des éminents philosophes et mystiques soufis de l'Andalousie du XIIIe siècle. Il vécut à Ceuta.
Ibn Sab'in s'est impliqué dans l’art de la philosophie, se considérant comme l’interlocuteur incontournable entre la mystique et la philosophie. Il est mort à la manière du stoïcien Sénèque, en s'ouvrant les veines. Ibn Sab'in réduit l'existence à l'unité absolue (wahda mutlaqa). Selon lui, Dieu seul existe et le reste n'a qu'une existence chimérique comme l'ombre d'une personne. Il n'y donc qu'une unité dans laquelle est contenue la multiplicité, celle-ci étant la fabrication de l'imagination humaine.
On retient de lui ses fameuses Réponses aux questions du Roi de Sicile et du Saint-Empire Germanique, l'empereur Frédéric II du Saint-Empire de Hohenstaufen.
