Célestin Alfred Cogniaux est un botaniste belge, né le 7 avril 1841 et mort le 15 avril 1916.
Son herbier est acquis en 1916 par le Jardin botanique national de Belgique. Le genre d’orchidées Neocogniauxia lui a été dédié par Rudolf Schlechter (1872-1925).
