Les normes comptables internationales développées à partir du 1er avril 2001 s’appellent IFRS. Certaines IAS ont été remplacées par des IFRS, d’autres sont toujours en vigueur. L’ensemble IAS/IFRS a été imposé comme cadre comptable par l’Union européenne pour les entreprises cotées à partir du 1er janvier 2005 ;
