Alexandre Boutlerov
Alexandre Mikhaïlovitch Boutlerov (en russe : Александр Михайлович Бутлеров, ISO 9 : Aleksandr Mihajlovič Butlerov) (né le 15 septembre 1828 à Tchistopol ; mort le 17 août 1886) est un chimiste russe, un des créateurs de la théorie de la structure chimique, le premier à avoir introduit des doubles liaisons dans les structures chimiques. Il a également découvert le méthanal et la réaction de formose (en) (préparation d'oses synthétiques par polymérisation du méthanal).
Biographie
Alexandre Boutlerov étudia la chimie de 1844 à 1849 à l'université d'État de Kazan. En 1854, il obtint un doctorat de l'université d'État de Moscou. À partir de 1857, il fut professeur de chimie à l'université de Kazan. De 1868 à 1885, il fut titulaire d'une chaire de chimie à l'université d'État de Saint-Pétersbourg.
Récompenses et distinctions
Le cratère Boutlerov, situé sur la Lune, est nommé en son honneur.
