L'île de Grand Turk est une île de l'archipel des Turques, dépendantes du territoire des îles Turques-et-Caïques. C'est sur cette île que se trouve la capitale du territoire, Cockburn Town.

Cette île serait peut-être celle où aurait débarqué Christophe Colomb en 1492.

Le 20 février 1962, l'astronaute américain John Glenn, premier américain dans l'espace, a amerri au large de Grand Turk dans sa capsule Friendship 7 du programme Mercury[1].
