Golden Brown est une chanson des Stranglers datant de 1982. C'est un tube du groupe. Mélodie particulière, agrémentée d'orgues originaux du claviériste des « étrangleurs », Dave Greenfield.
Elle se trouve sur l'album La Folie. Ce sera le second single tiré de cet album.
Golden brown signifie héroïne en langage argotique anglais. Le texte de la chanson évoque l'effet de la drogue (notamment With my mind she runs = « Elle se barre avec mon esprit »)[1].
Le clip se passe en Égypte.
Réutilisation au cinéma et dans les séries télévisées
La chanson figure sur la bande originale du film Snatch : Tu braques ou tu raques, mais aussi dans Away We Go et plusieurs fois dans la saison 2 de la série française Clara Sheller.
