Germanisation
Le processus de germanisation correspond au rayonnement culturel de la civilisation qui a émergé des peuples germaniques.
Il n'est pas restreint aux frontières territoriales de l'Allemagne, puisque l'Autriche et la Prusse en furent des foyers.
Par exemple, les croisades baltes menées par les royaumes du Saint-Empire ont mené à des peuples germanisés par suite à la territorialisation de l'État teutonique au beau milieu des pays baltes. Ces populations donnent les germano-baltes actuels.
Le principe de germanisation fut également utilisé sous le Troisième Reich, notamment dans les lebensborn.
