Fanny Hill, or Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure, Mémoires d’une fille de joie en anglais, est un roman érotique de l’écrivain anglais John Cleland.

Rédigé en 1749 à Londres alors que Cleland était en prison pour dettes, ce livre est considéré comme le premier roman érotique et sa publication causa scandale. Dès sa parution, l’Église d'Angleterre demanda aux autorités d’interdire « ce livre ignoble qui est une véritable insulte à la religion et aux bonnes mœurs ». De ce fait, Cleland fut arrêté et inculpé d’avoir « incité à la débauche les sujets du roi ».

Cependant des exemplaires du livre se vendirent sous le manteau et celui-ci finit par se répandre aux États-Unis, où il fut interdit en 1821 pour obscénité.

En 1963, G. B. Putnam publia le livre sous le titre John Cleland’s Memoirs of a Woman of Pleasure qui fut aussi, immédiatement, interdit pour obscénité. L'éditeur porta l’affaire devant la justice. Dans une décision de 1966, la Cour Suprême finit par édicter que le livre ne méritait pas le qualificatif d’obscène, selon le Roth standard.
