Extol est une formation norvégienne de death metal et de metal chretien fondée en 1993 à Oslo. Les principaux thèmes abordés dans leurs chansons sont le Christianisme et la lumière de Dieu. Le groupe se dit ouvertement opposé à toute forme de racisme ou encore d'antisémitisme. Le chanteur Peter Espevoll, considère que les groupes de Black metal sataniques voire antisémites, sont très malsains pour les jeunes, et pense que les groupes propageant ce genre d'idées devraient être censurés.
