Exeter est une ville située dans le New Hampshire aux États-Unis. Elle se retrouve dans la région vers la côte de l'Atlantique. Le recensement de 2000 indiquait une population de 14 058 habitants.

William Ladd, l'un des premiers militant anti-guerre américain et le premier président de l'American Peace Society (Société américaine pour la paix) est né à Exeter le 10 mai 1778.

La ville est connue pour la prestigieuse école secondaire Phillips Exeter Academy.
