Daniel Kriegman

Daniel Kriegman est un écrivain et psychanalyste américain.

Il est l'un des fondateurs de l'Institut psychanalytique pour la famille et le couple de Nouvelle-Angleterre et un membre de la faculté de l'Institut pour la Psychanalyse du Massachusetts. Il fut anciennement psychologue en chef et directeur du département « réhabilitation et surveillance » du Centre de traitement des délinquants sexuels du Massachusetts ainsi que le directeur clinique du département pour la Sécurité maximale et le traitement intensif des adolescents de Boston.

Kriegman est co-auteur avec Malcom Slavin de The Adaptive Design of the Human Psyche: Psychoanalysis, Evolutionary Biology, and the Therapeutic Process [1]. Cet ouvrage a introduit le concept de paradigme psychanalytique connu sous le nom de « psychanalyse évolutive ». Kriegman est également co-éditeur avec J.G. Teicholz de Trauma, Repetition, & Affect Regulation: The Work of Paul Russell [2]. Il a publié plus de 30 articles spécialisés et des chapitres d’ouvrages traitants de sujets comme l’évolution de la compréhension du comportement humain ou encore des théories et des pratiques de la psychanalyse abordée à travers les psychothérapies.

Il exerce à plein temps à Newton dans le Massachusetts, donnant des consultations psychanalytiques à des personnes seules, des couples et des familles.

Il effectue également des travaux spécialisés dans la psychologie légale (par exemple : l’analyse de la crédibilité de témoignages dans des cas impliquant l’avertissement du danger).

Il est le fondateur, avec son épouse Cynthia et son fils Isaac, de la « Maison de Zuzu » [3] où est développé un logement coopératif qui propose une alternative au système de santé mentale pour des personnes qui ont été diagnostiquées comme ayant des troubles mentaux graves.

Kriegman est enfin un des fondateurs de la première « religion au contenu Libre » du monde, il s’agit du Yoisme. Il est l’auteur de l’article « Le Verbe selon Yo »
