Le cycle du glyoxylate est un dérivé anabolique du cycle de Krebs. Il se réalise dans le glyoxysome des graines et permet leur germination en transformant ses réserves de lipides en glucides qui seront la source d'énergie de la photosynthèse.
Bilan : 2 Acétyl CoA + NAD+ + 2 H2O → Succinate + 2 CoASH + NADH
