Colson Whitehead (son nom complet est Arch Colson Chipp Whitehead) est un romancier vivant à New York. Il est né à New-York en 1969, a fréquenté la Trinity School de New York, et a été diplômé du Harvard College en 1991. Il est journaliste et ses travaux ont paru dans de nombreuses publications, dont le The New York Times, Salon et The Village Voice.
