A New Found Glory

New Found Glory (anciennement A New Found Glory) est un groupe américain de pop punk formé en 1997 à Coral Springs en Floride et désormais basé en Californie.

Biographie

New Found Glory est un groupe de pop punk, originaire de Coral Springs en Floride. La formation voit le jour en 1997, et commence à se produire sur différentes scènes locales, acquérant un large public. En 99, un premier LP sort, Nothing Gold Can Stay avec "Hit Or Miss", suivi rapidement par un EP, "From the Screen to Your Stereo". Forts de ces premières livraisons, les Américains décrochent un contrat avec le label Drive-Thru, appartenant à MCA. NFG entre alors en studio et enregistre son premier "gros" album, éponyme, qui sort en mai 2001. Ils reviennent à l'été 2002 avec "Sticks and Stones" avec "My Friends Over You" et "Head On Collision". En 2004, sort un nouvel album intitulé Catalyst avec "I Don't Wanna Know". En 2006 parait l'opus Coming Home avec pour single "Its Not Your Fault". En 2007 ils sortent une suite à l'EP "From the screen to your stereo", en reprenant des titres de Teen movies, comme "Kiss me" de Sixpense none the ritcher, "Lovefool" de Cardigans ou encore "It ain't me babe" de Bob Dylan. En 2008, NFG Sortit leur Greatest Hits : "Hits" pour les 10 ans de carrières, on retrouve leurs succès comme "Hit or Miss" "My friends over you" et "All downhill from here" "It's not your fault", on retrouve une inédit sortit pour le Warped tour 2007 "Situations". Également en 2008, NFG a sorti un nouvel EP Hardcore : "Tip of the iceberg", chez le label hardcore "Bridge 9". On retrouve 3 originaux et 3 reprises des groupes suivant : Gorilla Biscuit, Shelter et Lifetime. Enfin le 10 mars 2009, NFG sort un nouvel opus appelé "Not without a fight", qui est produit par Mark Hoppus (Blink 182, +44) et Neal Avron qui a déjà produit "Stiks an stones" et "Catalyst". Cet album sort chez le label "Epitaph Records" qui a produit entre autres Bad Religion, Rancid, The Offspring, Motion City Soundtrack, The Matches, etc… Le premier single "Listen to your friends", a été dévoilé le 23 décembre.
