Biographie
Il est d'origine italienne et canadienne.
Il a étudié à l'école St. Stephen's (maintenant école St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) et à l'université de Colorado à Boulder, où il a appris pour la première fois le métier d'acteur, et obtenant un graduat en histoire en 1983. Après son graduat, Meloni est parti à New York où il a continué ses études avec Sanford Meisner au célèbre quartier Playhouse.
