Chris Hughes
Chris Hughes, né Christopher Merrick Hughes le 3 mars 1954 à Londres en Angleterre, est un musicien et producteur de musique britannique.
Biographie
Chris Hughes commence sa carrière de musicien comme batteur des groupes The Blitz Brothers puis Dalek I Love You, avant de rejoindre le groupe Adam and the Ants durant les années 1980 sous le nom de Merrick. Il poursuit sa carrière en produisant les albums de Adam and the Ants mais également les deux premiers disques de Tears for Fears et le premier album de The Electric Soft Parade. Il fut aussi un des batteurs de Peter Gabriel sur l'album So et travailla notamment avec Paul McCartney, Jon Bon Jovi, et Robert Plant.
Par ailleurs, il s'intéressa à la musique électronique en réalisant trois albums, dont le premier intitulé Shift, remixe des pièces importantes du compositeur de musique minimaliste Steve Reich[1].
