Le cannabinol aussi connu sous le nom de CBN est un cannabinoïde légèrement psychoactif que l'on trouve dans le Cannabis Indica. Il est présent en faible quantité dans la plante fraîche, mais sa concentration augmente avec l'exposition à la lumière et à l'air car il s'agit d'un produit issu de l'oxydation du THC.
D'après une étude[2] menée en 1973, les formes pures de cannabinol ont un pouvoir psychoactif 10 fois plus faible que celui du tétrahydrocannabinol (THC).
Il est perçu pour être sédatif ou étourdissant.
