Commission canadienne du blé
La Commission canadienne du blé (CCB) fut établie par le Parlement du Canada en 1935 pour servir de système de commercialisation par les producteurs de blé et d'orge. Son siège social se trouve à Winnipeg (Manitoba).
Le but de la Commission du blé est d'égaliser les conditions de compétition pour tous les producteurs. Les fermiers livrent leur grain selon des horaires réglementées. La Commission agit en tant qu'agent de marketing pour tous les céréaliculteurs, qui reçoivent un paiement intérimaire et un paiement final qui dépend des prix et des ventes totaux.
Selon son site web officiel, la CCB contrôle 20% des échanges de blé et d'orge sur le marché international, faisant d'elle "le plus important organisme de vente de blé et d'orge dans le monde."
