We The Kings est un groupe de PowerPop formé en 2003 à Bradenton, Floride, qui a actuellement signé avec S-Curve Records et qui a sorti son premier album studio, We the Kings en 2007, arrivé 151ème du Top Billboard 200. Son deuxième album, Smile Kid, est sorti en décembre 2009.

La reconnaissance du public et leur notoriété ont permis à ses membres d'achever plusieurs tournées et de créer leur propre série de webisodes appelée The King's Carriage, qui parle de leur propre vie à bord du bus servant à les transporter lors de leurs tournées.

Travis Clark a spéculé sur son blog que leur prochain album pourrait être un album acoustique. Le nom du groupe a été inspiré par leur école : King Middle School. Dans leur 2ème album "Smile Kid", le groupe a fait une collaboration avec la chanteuse Demi Lovato sur la chanson We'll Be A Dream.

Histoire

We the Kings a été formé en 2003 alors qu'ils étaient tous élèves à la King Middle School. Après des années de pratique, ils ont signés avec S-Curve Records à New York. We the Kings a été présenté dans de nombreuses émission de radio et de télévision connues à ce jour. Le 3 mai 2008, ils sont apparus sur CBS dans le Early Show et ont interprété les titres Check Yes Juliet et Skyway Avenue. À cette époque, ils ont également présenté Spring Break '08 sur MTV.
