The Ruin (La Ruine) est un poème anglo-saxon. Il apparaît dans le Livre d'Exeter, mais un feu l'a rendu partiellement illisible. Comme pour la majorité des poèmes de cette période, son auteur est inconnu.
Le poème est une description élégiaque de bâtiments en ruine. Le fait que les bâtiments décrits soient en pierre suggère qu'il est question de constructions datant de la période romaine. Cependant, la scène de fastes que le narrateur imagine lorsqu'il contemple ce lieu à l'abandon est tout à fait typique de la culture anglo-saxonne et comparable avec des scènes tirées d'autres élégies vieil-anglaises comme L'Errant (The Wanderer) ou Le Marin (The Seafarer), tous deux également conservés dans le Livre d'Exeter.
