Sideburn est un groupe de hard rock suisse fondé en 1985 à Lausanne.

Histoire

Le groupe s'appelait, en 1985, Genocide et s'est rebaptisé Sideburn en 1997. Jusqu'an 1997, le groupe avait un son plus heavy metal et caractéristique des groupes des années 80 comme Judas Priest ou Iron Maiden. Le groupe se dirige vers un son plus hard rock boogie en 1997 avec l'album "Sell Your Soul For Rock'N'Roll". A Hambourg, Le groupe a eu son premier grand succès, en studio en 1990 avec le "Roots in Rock". Un nouveau guitariste solo, un bassiste ainsi qu'un batteur arrivent au sein du groupe. Avec ses nouveaux artistes le groupe de rock enregistre son nouvel album qui se nomme "Crocodile", avec comme producteur Jürg Nägeli, ancien membre du groupe suisse Krokus. En 2005, Sideburn sort son premier Best Of. Dans cette même année, un nouveau guitariste soliste, Boris, rejoint le groupe et il participera au nouvel album "Cherry Red" sorti en 2008.
