STOXX Limited est le nom d'une société créée en 1998 qui publie différents indices d'actions largement utilisés par les acteurs des marchés boursiers mondiaux.
Histoire
STOXX Ltd est une société en participation de droit anglo-saxon, dite « joint venture », constituée en 1998 par la Dow Jones and Company, le Deutsche Börse Group et le SWX Swiss Exchange. Elle gère un ensemble d'indices d'actions considérés comme des standards en Europe[1].
Utilisation
La société STOXX Ltd accorde des licences pour l'usage commercial de ses indices, qui sont largement utilisés dans de nombreux pays et principalement en Europe. Différents fonds indiciels cotés, nommés en anglais Index tracker ou ETF (Exchange Traded Funds) sont basés sur ces indices.
