Rock & Rule est le premier film d'animation de la société canadienne Nelvana. Il est sorti aux États-Unis le 15 mars 1983.
Ce film musical de science-fiction, d'un budget de 8 millions de dollars, se déroule dans un une Amérique post-apocalyptique peuplée d'animaux anthropomorphes mutants.
Tout le film est basé sur la musique rock et contient des chansons par Cheap Trick, Lou Reed, Deborah Harry (de Blondie), Iggy Pop et Earth, Wind and Fire. La musique était écrite par Patricia Cullen.
