No. 1 In Heaven est le huitième album studio du groupe Sparks, paru en septembre 1979.
Historique
Après les ventes décevantes de leurs deux précédents albums, Ron et Russell Mael opèrent un virage à 180 degrés en travaillant avec le compositeur et producteur italien Giorgio Moroder, dont les frères furent impressionnés de son travail sur I Feel Love, de Donna Summer.
Le disque permet d'explorer pour le groupe de nouveaux sons, plus électro-pop / disco que rock dans leurs précédents albums et d'obtenir un regain d'intérêt pour le public.
Quatre singles furent extraits de l'album, dont Number One Song In Heaven et Beat the Clock, qui obtiennent un succès au Royaume-Uni.
