Malay Roy Choudhury est poete, nouvelliste, dramaturge et essayiste bengali ne pres de Patna, Indien, le 29 octobre 1939.

Il s'est d'abord fait connaitre comme un de créateur du mouvement de la Hungry generation.

Il écrit dans sa langue maternelle mais aussi en anglais.

Il a été rédacteur de Zebra ( 1961-1965 ).

Il a traduit William Blake, Andre Breton. Tristan Tzara, Jean Cocteau, Blaise Cendrars et Allen Ginsberg
