LaHave

44°17′37″N 64°21′27″O / 44.29361, -64.3575 La village de LaHave est située sur la sud-côte de la province de Nouvelle-Écosse, en Canada, au comté de Lunenburg.

Le nom de LaHave est tiré de la ville de Le Havre, dans le nord-ouest de la France. La village a été fondé en l'an 1604 par Samuel de Champlain, et c'était ensuite la capitale de la Nouvelle-France pour quelques années (avant la fondation du Ville de Québec en 1608). La village a gardé cette distinction jusqu'à la colonisation de la région par les anglais. Le village a une faible population, cette signification historique est cependant reconnue maintenant avec un musée et nombreux monuments décrivant l'historie de la colonisation de la région par les français, et aussi les habitants subséquents, la majorité desquels sont venu d'Allemagne, de Suisse et des régions de Montbéliard et d'Alsace en France.
