Jani Allan, née le 11 septembre 1953, est une journaliste sud-africaine. Elle travaillait pour le journal The Sunday Times entre 1979 et 1990. Elle habitait en Angleterre à la suite d'une tentative d'assasinat dans son appartement à Johannesburg[1]. En 1992, elle réclame à Channel 4 des dommages en ce qui concerne des allégations d'une aventure entre Allan et Eugène Terre'Blanche, le leader du Mouvement de résistance afrikaner dans un documentaire par Nick Broomfield. À la fin de la décennie, elle travaillait comme animatrice sur Cape Talk. Actuellement elle habite aux États-Unis où elle a écrit ses mémoires.
Elle est diplômée de l'université du Witwatersrand.

Elle été désignée comme « La personne plus admirée » dans un sondage de Gallup en 1987.
Lorsqu'elle était à Londres, elle travaillait pour des journaux comme l'Evening Standard[2], The Sunday Times[3],[4] et The Spectator[5], un magazine politique.
Aux États-Unis, elle travaillait pour World Net Daily[6],[7] et pour des émissions de radio.

Vie privée
Elle a été l'épouse de l'homme d'affaires Gordon Schachat de 1982 à 1984. En 2002 elle vit avec l'inventeur américain, Dr. Peter Kulish qu'elle épouse. La séparation intervient cependant au bout de six semaines[8].
