Flotte et destinations

Depuis les premiers vols en 2006, les appareils de la compagnie, exclusivement des Airbus A320-200, ne couvrent que des lignes intérieures indiennes[1], avec 221 vols quotidiens[2].

Contrats

En janvier 2011, IndiGo a conclu un protocole d'accord pour une commande 180 Airbus A320, dont 150 A320 NEO, ce qui constituerait selon Airbus un records historique en termes de nombre d'avions civils commandés. Au prix catalogue, cette commande représente 16,4 milliards de dollars, cependant cette somme est peu significative, dans la mesure où les compagnies aériennes peuvent bénéficier d'importants rabais[3]. IndiGo n'a cependant pas encore choisi de motoriste[1].
