Franklin et ses Amis est une nouvelle adaptation télévisée basé sur la série de livre pour enfants Franklin la tortue écrite par Paulette Bourgeois et illustrée par Brenda Clark. Contrairement à la première ( Franklin), celle-ci a été entièrement réalisée en 3D en co-production par les studios canadiens (Nelvana) et singapouriens (Infinite Frameworks).
Au Etats-Unis, la première a eu lieu le 4 mars 2011 sur Treehouse TV. En france, la diffusion a seulement débutée fin août 2011, sur TF1 dans l'émission TFOU. Cependant, le premier épisode a été diffusé, en avant première, dans le courant du mois d'août, sur le site de TF1.
