Le forking est une méthode alimentaire[1] créée par Ivan Gavriloff.
Cette méthode consiste à n’utiliser qu'une fourchette lors du dernier repas de la journée, en se passant de cuillère, de couteau et sans utiliser les doigts, dans le but de contrôler la nature et la quantité des aliments ingérés le soir.
Elle présenterait l'avantage de limiter la sensation de privation puisqu’elle n'impose pas de contrainte pour les autres repas ; elle suit le vieil adage français : « Mange comme un roi au petit déjeuner, comme un prince au déjeuner et comme un pauvre au dîner ». Elle peut être pratiquée toute la vie.
