Carl Friedrich Christian Fasch est un compositeur allemand de la période classique, né à Zerbst le 18 novembre 1736 et mort à Berlin le 3 août 1800.
Biographie
Il reçoit son éducation musicale par l'intermédiaire de son père. En 1755, il est nommé deuxième claveciniste, après Carl Philipp Emmanuel Bach, à la cour de Frédéric le Grand. Il donne aussi des cours privés. Il a été promu après le départ de Bach à Hambourg en 1767 et a dirigé le Royal Opera de 1774 à 1776. Dans ses dernières années, il a consacré beaucoup de temps à la musique chorale. Il est le fondateur de la Singakademie de Berlin en 1789. Carl Friedrich Zelter, son successeur, a écrit sa biographie en 1801.
