Le groupe COSCO aussi connu sous le nom officiel de China Ocean Shipping Company, est le premier armateur chinois et serait le 6ème armateur mondial de conteneur par le nombre conteneurs transportés. COSCO possèderait plus de 130 porte-conteneurs avec une capacité totale de 320.000 EVP.

COSCO est une entreprise publique de la République populaire de Chine. Son siège se situe dans le district de Xicheng, à Pékin.

Le groupe comprend de nombreuses filiales cotés, fournissant des services de logistiques, de construction et de réparation navale, de Manutention portuaire, de construction de conteneur, etc. Le groupe possèderait au totale environ 550 navires tout transports confondus, en étant le plus grand armateur de vrac de Chine.
