Archives of American Art (« Archives de l'art américain ») est une collection de ressources primaires documentant l'histoire des arts visuels aux États-Unis. Plus de seize millions d'objets d'origine sont stockés dans les centres de recherche à Washington et New York.

En tant que centre de recherche au sein de la Smithsonian Institution, les archives sont lié à une large variété d'artistes américains et de style. Toutes les régions du pays, les époques et de nombreux mouvements artistiques y sont représentés.

Parmi les artistes représentés significativement se trouvent Jackson Pollock, Lee Krasner, Marcel Breuer, Rockwell Kent, John Singer Sargent, Winslow Homer, John Trumbull et Alexander Calder.

En plus des journaux d'artistes, les archives recueille du matériel documentaire des galeries d'art, des marchands d'art et des collectionneurs d'art. Elles abritent également une collection de plus de 2 000 enregistrements d'entrevues liées à l'art et publie une publication bi-annuelle appelée Archives of American Art Journal qui met en valeur les collections.
