A Witness est un groupe de rock indépendant britannique, formé à Stockport, près de Manchester[1] et actif au milieu des années 1980.

Le style Ron Johnson

Le groupe est composé, au départ, de Rick Aitken (guitare), Noel Kilbride (guitare), Keith Curtis (chant) et Vince Hunt (basse). Plus tard, ils sont rejoints par le batteur Alan Brown (en 1988-1989).

A Witness mêle des influences punk à un chant exacerbé. Il est l'un des cinq groupes du label Ron Johnson Records à figurer sur la célèbre compilation C86, avec le titre Sharpened Sticks.
