Woolworths est une entreprise australienne, chaine locale de supermarchés. Elle fait partie de l'indice S&P/ASX 50.
Elle est le plus grand réseau de distribution australien.
En octobre 2009, la firme Apple Inc. la poursuit en justice à cause de son nouveau logo. Il s'agit d'un "W" stylisé, dont les formes arrondies et la couleur verte rappellent une pomme. Les internautes jugent majoritairement cette décision excessive, ridicule ou paranoïaque. Le fait que Woolworth vende également des produits électroniques peut être un autre raison à la plainte d'Apple. (Car Woolworth en devient alors un concurrent direct.)[1],[2]
